At the recently held Harper’s Bazaar’s Fashion Week Party, there was a dramatic brawl between Cardi B and her industry rap rival, Nicki Minaj. This issue escalated to shoes flying up in the air and Cardi being escorted out of the premises.
According to Cardi, she doesn’t feel remorseful about her attack on fellow rapper, Nicki,
as she was defending her daughter whom she claimed Nicki had come at. This claim
has been bluntly denied by Nicki Minaj who stated during an interview that the fight was
“mortifying and humiliating” and further reiterated “I just want to let the world know that Onika Tanya Maraj would never, has never and will never speak I & ll of anyones child.I am not a clown. That’s clown shit.”
American actress and former destiny child member, Kelly Rowland has also weighed in
on the violent confrontation between the two female rappers, among other celebrities. In
an interview with E! News, Kelly was seen saying “I think in a time where Serena
Williams is fighting for equality—I love both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B and I think that they
are extremely talented—and in a time when she is fighting for women’s equality, we just can’t be fighting”.
